Hydrogen Station Nozzles

There are three types of dispenser nozzles currently in use

WEH

These are the older and original "pistol grip" nozzles.

Tatsuno

These newer nozzles are used at most (all) True Zero stations. They are more immune to freezing.

Issues / Half Enguaged

You might encounter a Tatsuno nozzle that has "some" of the yellow band exposed. If this is the case, the nozzle will not latch onto your car. You can still fuel by first pulling the blue sleeve back until it clicks completely covering the yellow band. The nozzle will then engage on your car.

Issues / Breakage

A number of these nozzles have have plastic breakage issues. This is likely a combination of plastic hot/cold cycling and rough handling. True Zero and Tastuno are reported as working on this.

Walther

This nozzle is similar in outward design to the Tatsuno. It is in use at some Air Products Stations.
